Inventors are invited to present their ideas and innovations at the largest-ever showcase of American-made products and machines in Indianapolis, October 3-6, 2019. Sponsored by The United Inventors Association of America.
“It is our sincere pleasure to be invited to participate in the inaugural Made in America Show in Indianapolis this fall,” said Warren Tuttle, President of the United Inventors Association Board of Directors. “The UIA is the leading US 501c3 non-profit dedicated to inventor education and advocacy. Most independent inventors are very passionate about manufacturing their products in the U.S.A., and to gather companies and individuals together in one location that promotes such passion is historic. Independent inventors and entrepreneurs, who make up the bulk of American small business start-ups, also believe in strong U.S. patent rights, which date back to the very foundation of our country in the late 1700s. Made in America and strong patents go hand-in-hand.”
The Pitch Panel will be comprised of the following experts:
United Inventors Association (UIA) Board President
Open Innovation Director
For those familiar with the television direct response mega-hit Smart Spin, Warren Tuttle was the person behind the scenes that helped orchestrate its overnight success. Teaming with a Boston based inventor, Tuttle selected an explosive path to market. With over 10 million units sold, SmartSpin was one of the most successful DRTV launches in housewares history.
Warren also teamed to initiate the market launch of several other innovative kitchen products including MISTO, Gourmet Olive Oil Sprayer, and The Toss and Turn Pan, one of the best-selling cookware frypans in the US in 2005. Warren has also helped numerous housewares product patent holders obtain licensing agreements with major U.S. manufacturers.
Currently, Warren focuses on external product development for three US companies; Lifetime Brands of Garden City, New York (the world’s largest manufacturer of kitchen utensils and a major supplier of food prep and tabletop products to America’s major retailers), Techtronics Industries, NA (the largest manufacturer of power tools in the US) and Merchant Media a market leader in Direct Response Television. Lifetime Brands manufactures and markets over 18,000 products under multiple brand names including Farberware, Kitchen Aid, Cuisinart, Pedrini, Mikasa, Towle and Pfaltzgraff; introducing over 4,000 new products each year. There is great enthusiasm looking outside the company for innovation, particularly patented new products. In the past four years, Warren has initiated over 50 new product licensing agreements with Lifetime Brands, including The Odor Absorbing Splatter Screen and Food Huggers. Techtronics Industries, NA manufactures and markets power tools under the well-known brand names Ryobi, Ridgid and Milwaukee. Warren has been working as an outside contractor with TTI for the past two years and has launched a half-dozen. Merchant Medias has had many mega TV product hits including True Touch and Smart Spin.
Warren serves as the President of the United Inventors Association, a national non-profit dedicated to educating inventors, patent holders and product developers. He speaks regularly around the country on licensing and open innovation.
