Before he invented the Fuel-loc-Box, David Spall always worried about safety when grilling season came around.
“After about two years of thinking, this is what finally came out of it,” said the owner of Lake Innovative Products, L.L.C., and the engineer and designer behind the box. “When I started grilling season and looking at that propane tank, I realized that this thing should not be in the garage. It’s not safe.”
Designed and manufactured in Painesville, Ohio, the Fuel-loc-Box promotes fuel storage safety for home and condo owners. It allows folks to store their extra propane tank and gasoline cans safely outside of their garage and away from their home.
According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) there are about 500 Americans deaths every year and 4,000 injuries due to Gasoline related fires. On top of that, there are nearly 160,000 fires occurring in the United States each year, which causes $1.5 billion in direct property damage each year.
The Fuel-loc-Box is a stainless steel storage container that is vented and has a locking lid for safety. The Containers can keep the Propane Tank and the Gasoline Can up to 20 degrees cooler in full sun to improve the safety of Gasoline Cans of five gallons or less.
“I really feel with the locking lid, it comes down to safety for your home and for children,” says Spall.
The Fuel-loc-Box takes storing Home Fuels to the next level in safety with its locking lid and giving homeowners and condos the option to store gasoline and fuel outside the garage for the first time.
