Originally a hand stain remover, Amodex USA has vastly expanded their product, making it the go-to for any stubborn stain. As a third generation family business, they have continued to manufacture their unique product in America despite many competitors moving production overseas.
“What’s most important to us is supporting the American worker and supporting those other companies in the U.S. supply chain,” says President Beverlee Dacey. In 2015, Amodex finally outgrew their old space in Bridgeport, CT. Rather than leaving Bridgeport entirely, Beverlee and her family relocated to a larger facility in Bridgeport to support the city’s redevlopment and manufacturing. They currently source from all over the United States.
Recognized in the early 90’s as the world’s best stain remover for all inks including permanent and whiteboard marker such as Sharpie® and Expo®, Amodex Ink & Stain Remover’s unique cream soap formula is non-toxic and safe to use on fabrics, upholstery, carpeting, and even skin. Amodex removes that impossible Georgia clay, familiar to those of you living in the south, stains from antique linen, machine oil, baby formula and liquid medicine from children’s clothes, permanent marker from CD’s and DVD’s and more.
“Since this product is used by all demographics and in the home, it’s important that it’s completely safe and nontoxic,” says Beverlee. “When we manufacture in the USA, we never have to worry about the formula of the product–we know exactly what goes into it.”
Today, they are proud to be recognized by America’s leading consumer magazine as a “must have in the home” and Rated #1 for removing ink stains. Amodex is honored to be featured as the only branded product on Martha Stewart’s Stain Removal chart and Newell Rubbermaid’s Consumer Corner for removal of Sharpie, Expo etc and Crayola.
The company’s 21st century vision is to continue providing consumers with the most effective ink & stain remover on the market by offering unparalleled customer service and a family, eco-friendly line of American made consumer products.
After attending Made in America 2019, Beverlee and the Amodex USA team are excited to return in October for Made in America 2021.
“What really struck me in 2019, was how many business owners I met that face the same challenges I do as an American made company. It was super cool to meet other companies that source domestically and even to network and share intel on suppliers. you never know, you might meet someone that could benefit your supply chain!”
